2 More Song for my adoring fans

2 more songs.

Firstly a cover of Closing Time, I sang and played all the instruments (and there's a lot of them).

Second one is another one with my internet friend Tomas De Canio. I just sang, I didn't even know this song when we started. It's Wildflower by The Cult

Successful Day Of Soccer

A slow week with not much going on, today, Saturday, Mark played soccer and did really really well. In the first half he played goalkeeper and made some good saves including saving a penalty. In the second half he played forward and scored a goal. In a 2 on 1 situation he was put clean through, took it to the right side, then blasted it back into the left corner. A really good goal.

More Songs and More Soccer

2 more songs up on my site http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=314739 One of them is another reminder of my teenage years - Doctor Doctor by UFO, the other is an instrumental.

Mark won his soccer game again on Saturday 3-1. He played the game in defense and was his usual tower of strength, including one especially good header out of defense.

During the day Amy and I went to Bark in The Park, a huge dog event, there were 1000's of dogs brought by their owners etc. We also met Gibson the worlds tallest dog, 7 feet tall.

Saturday night the beginning of "everything" started when he went out for the night with his friends to a center that has network and internet video games + pizza etc. Now he wants to go every week.

Friday night was Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, didn't enjoy it much I think cause I was too familiar with the original TV show. Mark seemed to like it. Inspector Lynley again on Saturday.

New Song and The Big Crash

A new song is up on my music site here -> called Sunburn http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=314739

Finally after years of trying had the big crash today. Driving on the freeway in the "fast" commuter only lane, someone pulled into my lane unexpectedly, I swerved onto the gravel covered shoulder to avoid them and started to spin, after pirouetting for 3 spins through traffic I came to rest (suddenly) against the rear bumper of a truck that was stuck in the traffic jam. The bumper came through the side of the drivers door, and the window shattered (some going in my mouth - crunch crunch). I was not hurt and neither was my passenger, we strapped the door back on with a rope, drove home, dropped of at the repair place and came back to work. The whole side of the car is smashed in and it's gonna take 3-4 weeks to repair.

Fun fun fun

This weekend's action

A lot going on this weekend. Friday night watched a great movie called Crash it's really about nothing but very smart and very clever.

Saturday was Mark's first soccer game. Mark has been having some ankle problems so he's not functioning at full speed but he did well in defense in the first half. Second half he volunteered for goalkeeper, he made a few saves and only let in one goal, he complained about being attacked by bees though. His team won 3-1 though there is lots of room for improvement.

In the afternoon Amy and I drove all over San Jose looking for an event called Bark In The Park, a dog show etc. We finally found out that it's next Saturday.

Saturday night we watched the comedy/action movie Sahara It was pretty good, Mark and Stella really liked it, I thought it was a good "popcorn" movie.

Long Time no post

Plenty of activity so no time to post anything

Mark and Amy started school. Mark has a 27 year old male teacher called Mr. Ma. Mr Ma told me he has more in common with the kids than with you "old folks". Amy has Mrs Balestari who is the teacher who focuses on arts and music a lot.

Mark started soccer, full 11-a-side, he has a decent team and the best coach (me).

We've watched a few movies. Bridge and Prejudice was the best one, more Inspector Lynley and the pretty bad Monster in Law.

I've got my new guitar, it's called a Variax and is a "computer" guitar. It models (pretends to be) other guitars so it can be an acoustic, banjo, 12 string, strat, les paul etc. It sounds odd but it really works http://www.line6.com/variax/

Today (Monday) is a holiday, this weekend is the last one for the swim center. Amy has now learned to go off the diving boards and finally went down the faster enclosed red slide.

Amy lost one of her middle teeth also.
